..On the run..

So after the pics below were taken, more and more participants arrived. with 10.30 fast approaching, a few people mounted their steeds, slipped their helmets on and preapared for departure.
I must at this point thank Al, who had the forsight to pick Wolfy start his engine (the organiser of the run for those who dont know) and start ever so slowly to roll out. I ended up right at the front of the 400 strong convoy, thus avoiding all of the smoke and scrapes of others! boy what a run. through central london, out east onto the north circular, then onto the A127 and full throttle out to the half way point. words cannot descibe the elation of riding at 55mph along this open road on such a gloriously beautiful day. *sigh*
anyhoo, here are some more pics, including a shot of TJ's bomber jacket. some loverly rally patches indeed! thanks again to Al, Wolfy and all fellow scooterists who took part and helped make the start to summer a fantastic one!
...In the park

So, with our petrol tanks and heads full of stimulants (coffee and petrol only thanks!!!!), we headed en masse to Regents Park for the mother of all rideouts. Upon arrival, the smell of two stroke was overwhelming and the sight of so many scooters and their enthusiastic owners was truly unbelievable. and we were only there at 9.30!
As we walked around drooling over other peoples machines, more and more clubs, individuals and even chavs on autos joined the display, adding to the excitement and anxiousness all the more!
The pics im posting here, were taken by myself and Christoph, so you will see a contrast between shoddy group long shots and close up crisp pics. Ill leave you to decipher who took which pic!! (heres a hint: i should stick to my day job!)

Great London Rideout

Well, what a bloody insane day!
Our lot met at Bar Italia at around 8.45 fo a quick coffee and laugh before heading to the meet point at Regents Park inner circle for a 10.30 rideout. The weather looked lush so we were all in high spirits, despite the parking inspector attempting to rain on our parade and trying to issue 15 parking tickets!!! After Al used his supernatural powers of persuasion (how DOES he do it?!)with her boss on the radio, we all relaxed and enjoyed the rest of our brew. then it was off.

Marc Joseph single launch

Thursday 31st of May saw the relaunch of Marc Josephs hit 'Bringing back those memories' in central london at an invitation only gig. Luckily for me, Bar Italia was invited to join the festivities.
Amist the free beer, traditional one upmanship and scooter admiration, there was a general feel of excitement in the understanding that we were all present to give the young fella our support for this epic.
anyhoo, here are some pics of the event, including one of the original (Rally) Vespa GS's from Quadrophenia, as well as Marc Josephs own Lambretta Series 3, complete with St Georges flag paint scheme. As with other posts, the pics will be broken up into separate posts
